Fundraising:

Good news! Thanks to you we have raised the $700.00 needed for insurance for our Tea Party 3 event!!! Thank you!!

We will still need a sound system, and if we cannot borrow it, this will be another $200.00

Other future expenses include a booth at the Tippecanoe County Fair, and a float, other fanfare at the Christmas parade

Paypal account will be up on the site soon.

We will be soliciting businesses for fundraising.

Constitutions:
From Heritage Foundation: Can get constitutions for $0.15/copy -> $150.00 for 1000 copies!
Heritage Foundation will also give them away, as long as we sign a statement saying we will give them away for free.
We can get 50 from Steve Buyer

Website:
Activities posted
A reading list was suggested, where we might be able to sell some books on the reading list, if we can get these at cost.

We need to network via the web, twitter electronically, etc.

Education Town Hall

Sometime this summer, before school starts. The main purpose of this will be to discuss the quality and cost of public education

Tea Party:
Donation box for CIA will be there for fundraising
We make available promotional literature, mission statement, etc.
Tea in the River!
Invite every candidate for elected office to tea party to table, talk to attendees

Food Drive:
This is also a food drive event to benefit Food Finders, which distributes food donations to pantries around the county

Fliers:
Get them posted to get the word out
Available in the email sent out, the facebook page, and the website

2nd Amendment Committee
CIA needs to be at every gun show, but booths are expensive.
Need to pass out mission statement, fliers for events
Bring email list form for people to sign and get involved.

County Fair
Need funds for a booth

Christmas parade committee
Fife and drum? float?
Donn wants someone dressed as George Washington, riding a spirited white/appaloosa horse
Also women and girls dressed as Lady Liberty handing out Constitutions
Also a Paul Revere character
We should also have a Food Drive, collecting items in large children’s wagons

Local issues:

It was suggested that we have a local issues town hall to address massive spending, juvenile detention center, sidewalk project, etc.

Local Education:
People should go to school board meetings, be alert about textbook selection
