Tea Party- And Ongoing- Food Drive

From the Tea Party 3 Flier:

"The current economic conditions caused by our federal government have created a situation which requires all who are able to help their fellow man. To that end, Citizens in Action will be collecting non-perishable food items to donate to Food Finders for local families in need. Please bring one or more items to help in this worthy cause."

This is for the event "Tea Party 3", on April 15th, 2010, (4-7:30pm) on the pedestrian bridge between Lafayette and West Lafayette.

However, we know that the need of many families will be an ongoing one, so we will have food donation boxes at every event we can, such as Town Hall meetings, specific rallies, etc. Please keep this in mind when attending future CIA events.

Organizational Meeting March 13, 2010

This is the third organizational meeting we have held in the last month, and we have been receiving a pretty good turnout. We need all the help we can get, and your input and assistance is greatly appreciated! Our last two meetings were well-attended by between 25-30 people; a great thing to help you realize you are not alone!!

Our next meeting is at 2:30 on March 13th, 2010, at Noster Villa Realty, 816 Main Street, Downtown Lafayette Indiana. PLEASE BRING CHAIRS for you and your party to sit on, as there may not be enough in the office where we meet.

Topics for discussion will include:

1. Website
2. Fund raising (We are in dire need of funds!)
3. Constitution Classes (to begin March 18th, 7pm, at Sacred Grounds Coffee Shop on Wabash Avenue!!!)
4. Town Halls- anytime a major issue comes up, be ready for a Town Hall!
5. April 15 Tea Party (also a Food drive for Food Finders)
6. Second Amendment Committee- To set up CIA booths at Gun Shows, etc.
7. County Fair Booth
8. Christmas Parade
9. Electronic media networking- blogging, twittering, linking to other websites
10. Primary debate at Purdue for candidates.

For each agenda item a committee has been formed, in addition to others that will be discussed at the next meeting. Please be ready to sign up for one or more! Committees each have an email list which is updated as people join. Committees will report to core CIA members, but will also be expected to act somewhat autonomously. This is because between the 10 or so core CIA members, we just could NOT get it all done, and are now turning to you to help us present a stronger, more organized, united front to take back our country!!!!

If you cannot attend the organizational meeting, please ask a friend to go in your place. The reason you are even looking at this event is likely because you want to get involved, and now is your chance!! We need to continue marching forward, and we need your help!

Thanks so much, hope to see you Saturday!
